Sandi Duncan

Sandi DuncanMelissa and I have been friends since the 8th grade-yes, we are old. We met in Science class and found that our dad’s had been carpooling to work together for a few years. She had heard about “Frank’s daughter, the dancer” and I had heard about “Charlie’s daughter, the dancer”. Little did we know all those years ago, that Melissa (I always call her Missi) would work for me at my studio for 3 years in Woburn, and I would be working here at MHDC for the last 12 years.

We have been through alot together and it’s been a journey that I wouldn’t change a bit! I love my life here at the studio. Working with a great staff and such motivated students makes coming to work each day very easy! I love seeing the growth in every student on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis.

A big highlight for me is seeing alumni walk through our doors and share what is going on in their lives with us. So many keep in touch and I value the incredible friendships that have grown over the years.

I am so thrilled to see the amazing friendships my daughter, Kimi, has made over the years. Her best friends are here, sharing in life’s ups and downs and I can’t imagine her life without these incredible people! Also watching her grow over the years, encouraged by so many of the great families here at MHDC, has been a huge blessing that we are both so thankful for!

As I begin my new business, Sharing The Dance of Life, I feel fortunate that so many of you have inspired and supported me through this process. I couldn’t have done it without you. I will be conducting self-esteem lectures, seminars, workshops and retreats for Pre-Teens and Teen girls, as well as Women, Dance Educators and Aspiring Performing Artists. My business also includes personal life coaching to encourage individuals to find more Balance, Gratitude, Joy and Fun in your everday Dance of Life!!!!

I look forward to the years ahead here that MHDC. The new generation of dancers is upholding the level of artistry and emotion that MHDC dancers are known for. Keep it going dancers and always remember to LIVE IT!!!!
